i think it is really gd as u get to meet loads of twirlers and i think it is a gd oppertunity. if i wasnt in new generation i dnt think i would of eva got the chance to go to canada in int cup and i have to say thanks to helen and cleary coz if it wernt 4 them i wuldnt b leaving my dream to go to canada nd take part in a international comp. xx | ||

I think their fab. It gives twirlers who otherwise may not get the chance to compete internationally especially team wise. Not all clubs have a full team who are at international standard so those that are may miss out. Composite teams give everyone a fair chance to compete for a place in the international teams, regardless of age and clubs. I know alot of old twirlers who would have loved to have competed international but were never given the chance or opportunity. My only complaint is that they all seem to be down south, would be nice to have some further up north | ||

Prsonally i feel that new generation are NOT taking over the bbtsa,they are bringing the best out of new generation and as dee says some people would not get the chance to compete at the international cup competitions and this gives us the chance. Helen, Cleary, Pam, Jenny and all over trainers that helen and cleary get to come and train us at new generation are there to bring the best of people that are a part of New Generation, i dont think they are taking over one bit. I think its the best step i have ever took and i think many of the the girls will agree and thanks alot for letting us complete our dream!! Also like sian says its good as ywe get to meet new twirlers which is always good. so my overall view of new generation is that it is abouslty brillant and no one should think different as helen and cleary get the best out of all the girls that are a part of New Generation. | ||

The BBTSA is very large, no group can take over the BBTSA! NG just give kids a chance to meet up once a month and have lots of fun, whilst getting the opportunity to compete in teams internationally, a thing that they might not have got to do in the past. | ||

new generation i feel is a positive thing for the bbtsa. It brings all its members the chance to work 2gether and represent there country. It is a development program that is open to anybody. Being an ex-twirler myself i was lucky enough to be part of a team that competed nationally and international but some arent so lucky. My daughters are lucky they are part of a great team one of which is a member of new generation and im sure the others will want to be part of the experience when they feel the time is right to take it to the nxt level. It gives the atheletes the chance to make great friendship with people who have the same interest as themselves. I would like to say a massive thank you to helen and cleary for all their time and dedication they give to each and everyone of their athletes in both hampden park and new generation. Also i would like to wish everybody in england and scotland the best of luck for nationals, international cup, worlds and europe. A very special good luck to danielle, roxanne and jodie beadle and all the girls from hampden park for nationals nxt weekend im sure you will do everybody proud. | ||

I have to agree New Generation is a fantastic way of getting out there and meeting different twirlers,trainers and most of all competing at a international level! i was part of New Generation last year and i had a fantastic time with them, If it wasnt for Helen and Cleary i wouldnt of gone to rome and achieved a silver medal in group. Helen and Cleary are so dedicated and put a huge amount of effort into New Generation & Hampden Park. I agree with Alison it is a positive thing for the BBTSA so instead of negative comments lets support the trainers and athletes that are part of New Generation. I wish all Athletes who are representing England the best of luck and lets hope that this year is as successful as last year!!! Luv Kirstie | ||

I think New Generation is very good, but lets also support the other Trainers and Athletes too, They are also part of the BBTSA, They are ALL doing a fantastic job, dedicated as well, I'm not knocking anything that New Generation are doing,but it would be nice to let people know that there are other Trainers and athletes, Camp is a great way of meeting athletes and Coaches from here and afar, fun, Competition & training, I agree what Helen & Cleary are doing is also Good, but you can still achieve being in your Club with your own Trainer,but before anyone goes defensive, this is an opinion | ||

I think ALL coaches within the BBTSA do a wonderful job. I am not sure why this thread was started really and by whom? I was a bit apprehensive about the responses there would be due to things that have been said in the past about NG. Glad to see the positives and other opinions as well as we always welcome these. As a coach I love working with ALL the girls within NG and long may it continue into the future as the fulfillment gained from teaching such a great bunch of girls is immense. All coaches, athletes in my book require great respect as we are all dedicated to the sport that we love and that is the main thing surely? Good luck to all athletes competing at Nationals, British Open, UK Open, European Championships, International Cup and World Championsips I know you will all be fab........ | ||

New Generation are actually very widespread and in their membership they accept all who are willing to train and learn from 2 very experienced coaches who have themselves been successful twirlers. Helen and Cleary work very hard at keeping their own troupe (Hampden Park) and New Generation up to date and providing the best training possible. We should remember this forum is provided by the kindness of the SFBT and treat it with the respect owing by not squabbling or treating fellow athletes and BBTSA members with disrespect. Given ppl positive comments and encouraging team mates is not blowing your own trumpets i am sure anyone whether they think their own individual routines, club routines or development squad routine are looking good will tell their friends as its nice to be proud of your own and other team members acheivements. Ppl come on this discussion board to make nice positive comments yet most threads end up with sarcastic or nasty comments on them at some point. I didn't mean to offend anyone with my post, I just get so fustrated with the negative comments.As you said positive comments help boost people who arn't always as confident as others. None of the above posts mentioned or put down any other clubs so whats the negative peoples problem. I'm always coming home from training and saying how well my girls are doin and their routines are coming along, it doesn't mean I'm saying their better than anyone else or blowing our own trumpets after all their only beginners, but when everyone is working so hard a little praise & encouragement goes along way, no matter who you are or what level you are at. | ||

Well done for the weekend girlies. The routine is looking wowwwwwwwwwwwww. I love it and I know it has been hard work but boy it has been worth it to see the routine emerge over the past 3 sessions with Sebastien. Sebastien is seriously talented and such a nice guy, it has been great working with him and I know you will all look forward to seeing him again later in the year. woo hoo girls excellent excellent seesion at weekend you ALL worked so so hard to the a team and group massive massive well done the team looks amazing and what a surprise with those 2 spin reverses all caught well done group 3 baton is excellent thanks for bearing with it i know it was hard being one down but it looks amazing vision well done thanks to pam for working os hard with these guys you will be fab 3 drops what a great feeling the no drop is coming i can feel it fusion great job all down to 3 drops too well done prodigy you will be great and so pretty and faith what can i say the performing skills have come on so much i know it took hours to set them all in place but your routine is so much fun enjoy it because i do every time you do it thank you to all the parents for your support and running around you do for us and the girls it is much appreciated and we wouldnt be where we are today without you i am very proud of what we have achieved big thank you to everyone for all your hard work hope you all like your presents there is one more to come rock on ireland xx | ||
