NBTA European Championships 2010

 

   

Information about the next European Twirling Championships 2010 in Edinburgh, Scotland.


 
Music test on Thursday 1rst of April.
Countries with large number of competitors will get more time for the music test.
09.00 - 09.30 h. Scotland
09.30 - 10.00 h. Germany
10.00 - 11.15 h. England
11.15 - 11.45 h. Ireland
11.45 - 12.15 h. Norway
12.15 - 12.45 h. Spain
12.45 - 13.15 h. pause (res.)
13.15 - 14.15 h. Croatia
14.15 - 14.45 h. Belgium
14.45 - 16.00 h. Holland
16.00 - 16.45 h. Italy
16.45 - 18.00 h. France
 


The entry fee for spectators will be: € 20  for 1 day  for adults
€ 45  for 3 days for adults
€ 10  for 1 day children under 12
€ 25 for 3 days for children under 12
Children under 1 meter are free.


The next European Championships  2010 for majorettes will be in Neuchatel, Switzerland. 8-9 and 10th of October. You will be there too?


I.D.-Card and Passport:
For all European Chamionships starting in 2009 all competitors and reserves need an official and valid I.D.card or passport. It is no longer allowed to use other cards like cards made by the NBTA-country.


Proposals for the next congress:
The NBTA Europe congress 2010 will be in Switzerland. If you have any proposals for this congress, send them before the 15th of August to> secr.adm@nbta-europe.eu

 On Thursday the 1st of April:
14.00 - 15.00 h. A special judges meeting is to be held at Meadowbanks regarding use of flash cards starting in 2011.
One judge and the technical. director of each country are asked to be present.


Attention: the small committee has decided: there will be no judging of the top-6 with flashcards in 2010!


15.00 - 18.30 h.: judges meeting in Meadowbanks .
All judges are obliged to be present!!!


On Thursday the 1rst of April:
15.00 - 16.00 h. president and coaches meeting in Meadowbanks. Information about the opening ceremony on Friday, passport control, not judging with flash cards.a.s.o.
There will be no reception for officials.


There will be no opening ceremony on Thursday.
The opening cermony is on Friday the 2nd of April before the competition starts.


                           

Important
New rule:
All reserves of the teams and group events must present themselves at the passport controle together with the team and remain at the passport controle area during the performance of the team.
Important rule:
Did your country pay the annual contribution before the 1rst of March? If not than a financial penalty will follow (decided at the 2009 congress) and your country cannot compete at any championships until the fee has been paid.

As spoken about it in the congress in September 2009, there will be no openingcermony on Thursday evening. It will held on Friday the 2nd of Apri before the start of the competition. All competitors and officials are asked to assemble in the practice hall at 08.15 h.

The sports hall Meadowbanks is open every day at 07.30 h. in the morning. We ask the competitors to use the entrance that is especially for them.

LATEST NEWS:

The next NBTA Europe congress will be held in Switzerland: 10th - 12th of September 2010.

Caterers in Meadowbank will  provide the service of packed lunches.  They have agreed to do it for any country that wants them and have sent over an order form with relevant details. You can find the order form on the website www.nbta-europe.eu under the button "Edinburgh".  It will also be possible to purchase food throughout the day at the Centre.

It is recommended that all individual music (rhythmic twirl, dance teams and large groups) is tested on music system at end of each team's training session on Thursday, to ensure there is no problem during Championships.


The training/warm-up hall at Meadowbank will be available from 10:00 - 17:00 on Thursday 1rst of April.  It is not bookable, but countries are welcome to use it throughout the day (for instance - before and after their official time in the main hall).
